What the site offers

Coinvalo publishes free guides about coins: what they are, how many were struck, how to recognize them and what they have sold for. The guides are for information only.

Values are estimates

Values on this site are market estimates based on dated sales and other public sources. They are not appraisals, offers to buy or sell, or investment advice. What a coin sells for depends on its condition, the buyer and the time of sale. Check a coin with a qualified dealer or expert before any important decision.

Accuracy

We take facts such as designs, mintages and issue dates from primary sources and show where each one comes from. Sources can contain errors and figures can change, so we cannot guarantee that every detail is complete or current. If you find a mistake, write to support@coinvalo.com and we will correct it.

Independence and trademarks

Coinvalo is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by the European Central Bank, the European Commission, any national central bank or mint, or any marketplace or auction house we cite. Names of institutions, marketplaces and products belong to their owners and are used only to refer to them. The coins in our pictures are our own illustrations, not official designs.

The texts and pictures on this site are ours. You may link to any page and quote short passages with a link to the source. Do not copy whole guides or republish them.

The iPhone app

The Coinvalo iPhone app is not available yet. Its terms, including subscriptions, will be published here before it can be downloaded.

We are not liable for decisions made on the basis of the information on this site, except where the law does not allow this to be limited.
